The brain child of Irish sports promoter John Ferguson, Cage Contender began with a 6 man knockout tournament in August 2009. From these humble beginnings Cage Contender has rapidly became Ireland’s undisputed number one domestic Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) promotion, now broadcast in some 96 countries and to millions of homes around the globe.

The Cage Contender ethos is that there are Irish people in every corner of the world many of whom enjoy watching sport from the land they call home. With this in mind Cage Contender events showcase the premier MMA talent Ireland has to offer with a mixture of international stars and household names added to the mix.

Cage Contender is  staged in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and in select venues across Europe.
